- Where are our history nerds at? Dating back to WW2, the area of the Hoek Van Holland Strand became an extremely important defense for the war. If you’re into bunkers and military defense, this is the place for you. This unique complex was part of the infamous Atlantic Wall from WW2. Wait until you get a look at the anti-aircraft battery where all the big guns were stored! In the visitor’s center you’ll learn all the important deets through dioramas, images, and authentic objects from the war.
- Ever wondered what the last line of defense looks like? On a special tour of the Festung Hoek van Holland, you'll witness the most important part of the Atlantic Wall in The Netherlands! Its location near the Rotterdam port meant this bunker was in charge of defending the last man down to the very last bullet.
