**Play the day away at vintage arcade machines and video games at this interactive museum in Zwolle. **

The Bonami Spelcomputer Museum is a must-visit if you’ve got a geeky side. A hidden gem unknown to most travellers, the museum is tucked away just outside the city centre of Zwolle. The locals also call it “Bonami Game & Computer Museum”, since it’s home to a little bit of everything to do with gaming.

While you’ll mostly hear about the retro arcade machines here, they are eye-catching. Bonami Spelcomputer Museum actually has the biggest collection of game computers in the Netherlands.

  • Try out the latest game consoles from the XBOX One X, VR headsets, Nintendo Switch, and more. They also keep a collection of retro game consoles including the Sega series.
  • Aside from the entrance fee, there’s no extra charge so you can spend all the museum open hours playing away.
  • Hi PC gamers! The Bonami Spelcomputer Museum has a pretty big collection of computers. You’ll see the Scholten computer - a computer built in the 1960s by Professor Scholten. Who would’ve guessed, eh?
  • Check out the arcade. With 60 arcade machines and a few pinball machines too, you’ll have a unique retro gaming experience at Bonami Spelcomputer Museum.
