Are you up for a getaway surrounded by plants and flowers? Come to Arcen to discover its magnificent Castle Gardens!
Nestled between the Meuse river and the German border rises the beautiful village of Arcen, but did you know that it hides a true gem that definitely deserves a visit? The castle garden is 32 hectares wide with plenty of flower varieties and plants and is one of the most famous gardens in Europe that have a large assortment in terms of flora.
The park was designed at the end of the 1980s by Dutch garden architect Niek Roozen and opened by Prince Bernhard on 21 May 1988.
The park consists of different gardens, each of which boasts an individual character of its own like, for example, the rock garden with its conifers, the Asian garden with its ponds and the maple garden. There's something for everyone, so you won't be disappointed!
There's a lot to see, so make sure you take your time to walk through all the marvellous gardens.

Getting there By car: parking available on site for the price of 6 €. By foot: From the centre of Arcen to the gardens it's a 9 minutes long walk
