Lucky for us slow travellers, the giants Ellert and Brammert are just statues at the museum entrance
• The open-air museum features charming buildings like a Saxon farmhouse, blacksmith, cottages and much more. See the Netherlands of the past recreated! Quiet and cozy, most of the best parts of the museum are on the outside.
• The inside parts of the museum include a few buildings and work areas. You see some workers' tools, offices, and living areas. It’s a nice open-air museum for a taste of Drenthe’s past, but about what you’d expect from the usual Netherlands open-air museum.
