**This little garden is like a peaceful green oasis, hidden in the city centre of Utrecht. **

Flora’s Garden used to be where Utrecht’s Episcopal Palace was, but after the public practice of Roman Catholic religion was banned, the palace got demolished. After this, the family Van Lunteren created a nursery here, where greenhouses with fruit trees and exotic plants were grown.

In 1911 the family had to sell the business and in 1934 the store had to close permanently.

In the following years, nothing happened to the courtyard. It was basically forgotten and neglected. In 2008 the garden, fortunately, got replanted and restored, as it should, because it deserves to be admired and taken care of.

Now you can explore this lush hideaway in the heart of Utrecht!
