Every Saturday, the Janskerkhof square turns into a paradise for flower lovers.
Whether you are looking for a bouquet or plants for in your garden, at the flower market at Janskerkhof, you can find anything.
On Saturdays, from 08:00 to 17:00, Janskerkhof turns into an ocean of flowers. Roses, gerberas, sunflowers, trees and pots, there is something for every plant enthusiast. During the winter time, the flower market becomes a Christmas tree market - and this is where many locals of Utrecht come to get their Christmas tree annually.
It's truly a year-round open-air market!

Tips and Tricks
- If you are on a city trip, it might be inconvenient to buy a plant, but if you still want to bring a piece of the Netherlands back home, the market also sells flower bulbs! If you are flying by plane, just make sure that the bulbs have a white sticker with the name of the plant and the date. The United States accept this, just make sure that if you are flying to a different country that they accept it as well.
- Apart from buying flowers, this place is also a great spot to take photos!
