Find a cool culinary experience close to Rotterdam’s heart. One of several like it in the city, prepared to be served diverse flavours and industrial-chic vibes.

Foodies, this one's for you...or anyone who is hungry near the Erasmusbrug. Are you one of those people who just never knows what they fancy eating? The sights and smells in Rotterdam’s Foodhallen are sure to help you make up your mind. Head over to this warehouse filled with street-food like stalls for lively-but-relaxed vibes and a variety of tasty food options. Sample diverse flavours in this historic building and soak up the industrial-chic surroundings.

  • World Foodies: Go on a culinary round-the-world adventure without leaving the building! Try food from America, South and East Asia and South America.
  • If you’re looking for something more local you’ll find it here too! Bavette serves burgers made from Hereford and Wagyu beef that comes from their very own farm in Maasland. For some authentic Dutch cuisine they also offer bitterballs or ‘bitterballen’. Think of them as Dutch meatballs, they’re a great snack and often served along with beer.
  • How about a drink? Beer, wine, gin or coffee, there’s a bar here for you. Try some international wines, fancy cocktails or a new G&T at the Wine and Gin bar. Craft beer more your thing? Head over to the main bar for a refreshing glass. If you need an afternoon pick me up or just a hot drink, try Coffee Corner.
  • Historic Building: The building’s current use is a bit of a throwback to the Netherlands’ maritime past. The Foodhallen used to be a storage warehouse for nuts and tea that was to be taken to the Dutch colonies. Safe to say, we’d rather be visiting now. A burger or some noodles and a beer or a G&T sounds much more appetising!
