**Step inside one of Amsterdam’s small and super unique museums! Learn more about pianola and music. **

  • What is a Pianola? They’re basically self-playing pianos that were invented back in 1901. If you love music, the Geelvinck Pianola Museum is a must-visit. Discover over 30,000 music rolls of great classics played from these unique instruments in Amsterdam.
  • How about some live music? Cosy up in a room of just 50 people for one of the most interesting musical experiences in Amsterdam. Musicians and pianolas play side by side. Conert times vary and there’s no regular schedule - you’ll have to keep an eye on their events page.
  • What about guided tours? Guided tours are available at this hidden gem in English and Dutch. Your guide will take you through the small museum, demonstrate the different pianolas, and learn a bit more about music. The museum is only about 4 rooms, so tours don’t take long - but they’re definitely worth doing when you’re in Amsterdam for the weekend.
