A picturesque marina in Goes where the small harbour is surrounded by pretty, historic buildings.
This charming harbour is more of a marina really as it’s only being used as a place to park private leisure boats. Maybe someday we’ll have a fancy boat parked out there too! Until then, you’ll just have to wander the harbour and soak up the atmosphere. The quay walls have medieval origins and are listed buildings, like many of those that surround the harbour.
There isn’t too much to do here apart from stroll around and enjoy the relaxed, cosy atmosphere. Stop for some lunch at one of the eateries around the marina. Sit outside if you can to soak in the picturesque surroundings and snap some pretty pictures.
Shopping
Goes is a great option for shopping in Zeeland. You’ll find boutique stores and chains alike. Many of the shops are in traditional old buildings so they’re worth seeing from both the outside and inside.
Head over to the Grote Markt, a 30 second walk from the marina, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There you’ll find a small but bustling market with a variety of stalls. You’re sure to find some local treats on offer here.
