**Where once a gas factory was located, now lies a beautiful park. **

One of the newer parks in Utrecht, Griftpark, is a great place for all ages. Besides having a lot of space to relax and have a picnic in summer, there is also a playground and a farm for children.

When you enter the park from the side of the city centre, there is a restaurant, a skatepark and a basketball court located on your right. In the middle of the park is an artificial hill where you have a beautiful view of the park, the pond and the city.

In summer many people like to hang out here to enjoy the sun or go for a run, while in winter, when it snows, children love to slide down the hill. Keep an eye out for the wonderful outdoor art all around Griftpark! There are some lifesize sculptures.
