At Het Nieuwe Instituut (‘The New Institute’) everything is about architecture, design and digital culture - especially when the three are merged together by local designers and creatives. They focus on the major developments in society, such as energy transition, the rise of artificial intelligence, mobility and the use of public space. This museum is fitting for the architectural experimental city of Rotterdam but also for urban design on an international scale too.

The institute shows how powerful new (design) ideas can be while learning about fashion, (interior) architecture, urban planning, digital culture or games. People of all ages can discover that everything around us is designed by designing and experimenting themselves.
