Go on a trip and explore the planet Earth, the first humans, World War II, the North Pole and more at the Museon-Omniversum! Museon-Omniversum is a science museum and a large-screen movie theater in one. You begin the museum get started with the future of our planet and learn how life on earth started.

Besides having temporary exhibitions, the museum has a permanent collection, which consists of about 273,000 objects, among which a collection of objects from the Inuit (Eskimos) from Greenland, a collection of textiles from Indonesia and a collection of drawings and objects relating to the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.

Spectacular large-screen films about different topics are shown in the IMAX dome theater. What about an expedition to the Mount Everest or a trip through the Grand Canyon? The films are shown in Dutch as well as in English and every hour a new one starts. The films are magnified 500 times and projected on a round dome screen, which makes it seem as if you are in the middle of the movie, especially with the advanced sound system.
