If you’re looking for a museum that’s different, a little bit shocking, and maybe even a bit hair-raising--this is the place. Museum Vrolik was originally started by one of the most prominent Dutch scientists Gerardus Vrolik and his son Willem as a medical collection of pathological samples. The assortment was eventually bought and donated to the University of Amsterdam--where both students and curious individuals are now welcome to come tour.

Settle your dark questions at Museum Vrolik intends to feed your human body curiosity. There are more than enough human and animal remains to feed your interest.
Tips and Tricks:
Not for those easily spooked: maybe leave the kids at home for this one! Museum Vrolik includes some shocking sections not for the faint of heart, including areas designated to birth defects and baby animals collected in jars. Hey, maybe there are some brave kids out there who might be interested in braving the chilling depths of the museum. But at least we’ve given a fair warning!
