See Dutch history brought to life in an open-air museum in Arnhem. Visit a town that looks like it's fallen out of a history book!

  • Uncover the history of the Netherlands by seeing it IRL. The museum is spread across 44 hectares, so there’s lots to see! Actors are dotted all about the open-air museum, bringing this place to life. Watch and join in as they brew beer, forge tools, play music, and ride the old trams. There’s also some authentic mills, plus shops to visit that sell handmade goods.
  • Family Fun: bring the kids along for an educational but fun experience. Close to Burgers zoo, Nederlands Openluchtmuseum is definitely a hit with families visiting Arnhem. There’s plenty of interactive spaces and playground areas for the kids.
  • The museum itself is interactive. Many info panels and guides are in Dutch. There is some info available in English, but Dutch speakers will get the most out of their visit. Still, we recommend it as coming here feels like you’ve seen the best of the Dutch countryside all in one day!
