**This is quite a unique swimming location.

When it comes to swimming, people usually choose the beach or an actual swimming pool over certain waters, such as city water. The water in the city has a different reputation: it might be nice to look at or to float in on a boat, but swimming in it seems unhygienic.
But for a couple of years people have been able to swim at a very unique location in the city. In front of Amsterdam Central Station, with a view of the Nemo Museum and the impressive ship of the National Maritime Museum. The quality of the water is now permanently monitored with an installation that measures the water quality of the inner harbor every two hours, which means you don't have to worry about the quality of the water.
So grab your swimming essentials and jump into the water on a warm day (or cold day for the daredevils)!
