Visit one of the most popular beaches in the country that has something for everyone.
Scheveningen Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the country and the only beach in the Netherlands that is located at a city. It is about 4,5 kilometres long and has a width of 110 metres. With many beach restaurants and a pier that has a Ferris wheel, there is always something to do!
The beach consists of four areas: the Noorderstrand, which is popular among tourists. This is where the pier is located. There are many restaurants, terraces and cafés. There are even sport facilities: what about learning how to surf or playing some beach volleyball?
Then there is Zuiderstrand, which is a lot more quiet. The locals call this beach the ‘quite beach’, so if you want to escape from the busy area, this might be the place for you.
Go to Kijkduin if you are want to go to a beach that is not full of people and if you would like to admire the peaceful dunes. You can go for relaxing walks here, and the view is wonderful!
At the Zwarte Pad there are many beach parties in summer. It is not as touristy, but perfect if you enjoy a glass of prosecco or rosé in one of the cool lounge clubs.
