Tour and taste local beer close to Koppelpoort and the canal at Stadsbrouwerij De Drie Ringen.
While the location is fairly new, this brewery has been going for hundreds of years. The third oldest brewery in the Netherlands, Stadsbrouwerij De Drie Ringen is a must visit for beer lovers. Loved by the locals, at this small brewery and pub you can try local beers alongside authentic snacks like bitterballen: an eggy and salty snack.
Location isn’t everything, but Stadsbrouwerij De Drie Ringen really is in a great spot. Right next to the iconic gatehouse of Koppelpoort and next to the canal area of Amersfoort, Stadsbrouwerij De Drie Ringen is a perfect stop along any city walk.
Tours & Tastings: the 1 hour tour takes you through the brewery and tells you a bit more about their history and the beer, plus a little tasting. The tasting experience gets you more beer and an expert guide to lead you through the tasting. The tours are usually done in Dutch, so be sure to get in touch if you don’t speak it. Otherwise, go for the tasting. Good beer surpasses language barriers, after all.
