  • Weekly farmers market: Every Saturday morning there’s a farmer’s market in the large barn area! Shop like the locals in the weekly tradition of picking up fresh veggies and organically sourced meat. The farm also has an annual Harvest Festival every September, with stalls of food and various products, workshops, and a day-long celebration.
  • Activities at the farm: Organized cooking classes can be arranged for all ages, or you can download yummy recipes to try out at home. Workshops are often provided about the process of farming, animal management and food production. You can even go on a guided tour to explore the fields of the Stadsboerderij, the stables, and the urban estate De Kemphaan! Contact to arrange a guided tour.
  • What makes a good farm? Cows, veggies, and dedicated farmers! Come feel those rural vibes right in the city. Plus, since 1996 the green spaces of Almere have been managed in a more environmentally friendly way to keep the tradition of Dutch agriculture going. Almere offers classes, activities, and tours to introduce you to farming. Get your hands dirty and start reconnecting with nature!
