Visit one of the biggest fortresses of the Dutch Water Line.

At the Waterliniemuseum Fort bij Vechten (built between 1867 and 1870) you will learn how water became a weapon in the Netherlands. The fortress is one of the biggest ones of the Dutch Water Line (a formation of fotresses used as a defence system).

In museum itself you will learn all about the Water Line in an interactive discovery tour. People from different times take you along in their experiences. And if you haven't had enough, you can fly over the waterline in the museum with virtual reality glasses on.
