This industrial location that used to be a factory is great for organising events.
In an industrial area of Utrecht they managed to create some fun places by refashioning what were old factories used for making trains and bridges. One of them is the Werkspoorkathedraal, a former engine factory hall dating back to 1912 that was converted into a venue for events. The name of this joint speaks for itself - it really is like an industrial cathedral!
The gigantic venue holds different events, from business events to food festivals, from tiny product launches to conferences. Attending events here is a lovely mix of the old and the new coming together.
In the up-and-coming area along the old harbour, Werkspoorkade is a bar that is buzzing with locals, especially sitting outside on the terrace by the water when the weather is warmer. Brewery De Leckere is closeby local favourite spot for drinks and tasting of Utrecht's homebrewed goods.
