**Visit the biggest and the smallest windmill of the province of Utrecht. **

In this super Dutch painting-like landscape right outside of the city of Utrecht you will find two beautiful windmills: Molen van de Polder Westbroek and Molen van de Polder Buitenweg. The first one is the largest windmill of the province of Utrecht and the second one is the smallest windmill in the province.

Westbroek’s function is to pump the water out of the polder (the landscape the windmills are surrounded by), so people wouldn’t have to walk through the water. It has been doing this since 1753. Buitenweg has the same function, but unfortunately had to be rebuild in 2018 after a fire destroyed the original windmill that had been standing there since 1830.
