The Zuidermrkt is a small, weekly neighbourhood market that is organised by and for the neighbourhood. The members determine together what the market offers. They sell farm-fresh and as many organic products as they can.

The enthusiastic local residents give the market a warm welcome and help on the market and in the vegetable stall. Fruit and vegetables come from the Netherlands as much as possible and are almost exclusively grown organically.

The market is non-profit and if there are annual surpluses, the members decide what to do with them. A part is needed for investments; another part is intended for charities, especially in the field of responsible production of fruit and vegetables, training, and information about healthy eating and a green environment.
