The Historical Museum in Legionowo opened its "Piaski" estate in May 2012, located in the restored, historic tsarist barracks of the former military casino. The "Piaski" branch is dedicated to presenting the military history of Legionowo. The exhibition is open to the public. "History of Garrison Legionowo. Time of War and Peace ", presenting over 200 exhibits. Particularly interesting are the monuments connected with operations in the Legionowo Polish Army units such as: 2. Balloon Battalion, 1st Armored Train Division, 2. Railway Bridge Battalion and 1. Warsaw Mechanized Division. An integral part of the exhibition is the outdoor exhibition of artillery equipment. In the "Piaski" branch there is a didactic room and a reading room with a rich military-historical library, where you can also use the local press. There are temporary exhibitions, readings, film screenings, thematic Sundays, museum lessons for children and youth devoted to the history of the military garrison in Legionowo and traditions of the Polish Army in the 20th century. and Soldier's Fest "Sunday with the Army". A number of these educational activities aim to encourage residents to expand their knowledge of local history and to stimulate interest in culture. The "Piaski" branch cooperates with social organizations and participates in cultural events organized by Legionowo and its inhabitants.
