The Museum of Fairy Tales, Fairy Tale and MuBaBaO, was created in 2002 to bring the tradition of oral traditions to many cultures in the world. The director of the Museum, Michal Malinowski, has been recording and transcribing oral traditions for several years, as well as tribal fairy tales, fairy tales and tales. "I want to save from the forgettable extraordinary stories told from generation to generation in different parts of the world. Oral tradition is gradually disappearing and many unwritten tales may be forgotten. "- says Michal Malinowski.

The Museum of Fairy Tales, Fairy Tales and Tales is not only a museum gathering tales of tales, it is primarily the Museum of the Living Word. Michał Malinowski, wishing to bring closer to the Polish audience fairytales and fairy tales from different cultures, invites the most famous fairy tales from all over the world, and also tells the fascinating stories. Deep emotion, great joy and sometimes unexpected horror and sadness accompanying the Director's tales enriched with mimicry, gesture and singing remain in the memory of the listeners for a long time. MuBaBaO is a museum designed for both young and elderly people. It is also a place where you can explore the secrets of the art of storytelling through the interactive museum of storytelling "Word Creation" and the Festival of Short Story Art.

The Museum also works to prevent the disappearance of oral traditions and intangible heritage. We are the propagators of the spoken word and co-creators of the Polish movement of renewal of story telling.

We organize Festivals of Short Story Art and we run a Word Creation Workshop aimed at learning this ancient form of expression that is almost forgotten today.

Michał Malinowski is the director and initiator of the Museum.

Michal Malinowski - storyteller, educator and writer. As a result of his travels and studies in Poland, Switzerland, Japan and USA (Department of Folklore and Mythology), the passion of telling and continuing As part of this project, meetings, workshops and festivals are held, making the audience aware of the need to care for the intangible cultural heritage. His proprietary short stories programs are presented in schools, libraries, cultural centers, national and international festivals as well as in Polish Radio. It conducts extensive ethnographic research related to oral tradition and intangible cultural heritage. As a result of collecting collections of stories and cultural transmissions from different parts of the world, we have prepared exhibitions of "Polish oral traditions" and "African griots - localized knowledge of global wisdom", participation in the creation of the book "Fairy tales from the Bug, Narew and Vistula" as well as the creation of the 2009 edition year in the United States the largest collection of Polish fairy tales in English "Polish Folklore and Folktales". (The book received the AESOP Accolade Award from the American Folklore Association.) In 2007/2008 he received a UNESCO scholarship for the exhibition "Amadou Hampate Ba" on one of the greatest thinkers and writers of the 20th century. In 2006 he was awarded the Special Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for his work.

Workshops of the story "Creating the Word" are of a developmental nature. The purpose is, among others. stimulation of creativity, development of speaking skills and deepening of body awareness (ability to use gestures and movement) - all that is needed is not only in telling stories but also in everyday life, in contact with other people. The workshops also aim to familiarize with the oral traditions of the native region and other countries of the world. Workshops include: work on the structure and content of history and how they are communicated, including exercises related to appropriate voice modulation and the selection of appropriate gestures.

Traditions of Short Story Festivals - the March Fair of Fairy tales, fairy tales and tales, and the June "Graduation of Dreams" taking place in Konstancin Jeziorna have become a tradition. At that time, the fairy tales come from different parts of Poland, Europe and the world in order to bring together listeners in a charming world of fairytales, fairy tales and tales.
