Museum of Agriculture im. Fr.. Krzysztof Kluka was founded in 1962 on the initiative of the Society of Ciechanowiec's enthusiasts under the organizational guidance of Dr. Paweł Olszewski and MA Kazimierz Uszyński. Patronage of the Museum is under the agreement of the Warsaw Agricultural University. The Museum cooperates with Warsaw University, Warsaw University of Technology and Białystok University and many scientific and museum institutions in Poland, such as the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Museum of Technology in Warsaw, museums in Lomza and Bialystok, museums abroad, eg open air museum in Minsk. The Museum is a Provincial Government Institution of Culture. The facility is also registered in the State Register of Museums of the Ministry of Culture. The museum is located in a palace and park complex from the mid-19th century in Ciechanowiec-Nowodwora, rebuilt from war damage in 1966-1969. It's close to 30 acres of historic park for a trip to the past and a rest in nature. The heart of this picturesque complex is located in the central part of the stately Neo-Renaissance palace, which until the Second World War served as the seat of the Starch family. The original, historic manor house is also home to a coach house, stables, an outhouse and a very interesting, technically efficient wooden water mill, and in all there are expositions. The collection of the Museum contains over 28,000 exhibits (including more than 300 agricultural machines and tools), which are presented to visitors at permanent exhibitions. In the Mazovian-Podlasie Skansen Museum there are historical objects of wooden architecture from the Mazovian-Podlasie border (XVIII - early 20th century), which were located in three teams, with full interior fittings. Rural dwellings (huts, windmills, granaries, barns, forge), manors (noble manor house, manor house with a unique collection of more than 2200 Easter eggs from around the world), churches, small architecture with crane, pigeon loft, historic ape, chapel). They were selected in a way that enables the presentation of different types of architecture and construction techniques of this region, and their interiors show the living and working conditions of the inhabitants of the village at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The museum has branch offices in Drewnowie (windmill with miller's farm) and Dąbrowa Łazy (windmill) and in the village Winna-Chroły (rural school) The Museum consists of eight sections: Ethnographic, Historical-Artistic, Rural Construction-Open-Air Museum, Agricultural Technology, History of Cultivation, History of Animal Husbandry and Farming, Herb Traditions and Museum of Veterinary Medicine. The natural setting of the palace and manor houses is a 19th century landscape park, which in its general outline has survived to this day, leaving more than 100 species of trees, including a dozen or so natural monuments. In the garden of plants suitable for medical use you can learn the history of herbal medicine. Next to it we present a beautiful garden of honey plants and an exhibition about the history of bartering and beekeeping, supplemented by the glass bee inhabited by ul. Undoubtedly, the charm and virtues of the Starzeńskis' estate made it one of the most important rural places of our country in the nineteenth century, and today it is a dream place for the museum and the nature, folklore and history of tourists. Visitors will also find the charm of the natural environment - blooming gardens and livestock farms - thanks to which the open-air museum is full of life and takes on a rural color. The most recent acquisitions in the Ciechanowskis open-air museum are the very interesting church with the Bogut-Pianek bell tower and the Kulesza-Kościelne wagon, which is characteristic of Podlasie's wooden church of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, where we present an exhibition about the Patron of the Museum - the man of the Enlightenment. Her achievements in the field of herbal medicine overtook the epoch - Father Krzysztof Kluka. The museum organizes many interesting events over the local, with many years of tradition, they are m. "Palm Sunday - Easter Palm Contest", "St. Wojciech "," Night of Museums "," Antoni "," Zajazd Wysokomazowiecki "," Podlaskie Bread Festival "," Autumn in the Field and the Farm "," The Competition for Instrumental Games "and others. One of the scientific manifestations of the Museum of Agriculture. Fr.. Krzysztof Kluka in Ciechanowiec is a publication that is thematically related to the profile of the institution. There are various publications devoted to the subject matter of the work of the staff. The most valuable publication published annually in our Museum is the "Ciechanowiecki Vintage Museum", which publishes scientific works. The collection of the Museum in Ciechanowiecki continues to grow, which is a natural result of work, research, discoveries and interests. The educational offer of the Museum includes exhibitions, readings, museum lessons, workshops for children, young people and adults, educational programs and outdoor events. Thanks to this, the Museum fulfills the expectations of a wide audience, as evidenced by the fact that the facility is visited by almost 65,000 visitors a year. Educational offers for schools and groups include museum lessons, ethnographic shows, numerous workshops and educational programs. Open air museum is a refuge of tradition and culture, but to survive, it must transform, adapt to new reality. Our priority is to preserve, at the time of universal globalization, what is about the folklore and the colors of the Polish countryside. When building new solutions, we never forget roots and ancestors.
