We invite you to visit the new branch of the District Museum in Torun - Torun Gingerbread Museum.

This interactive multimedia museum introduces visitors to the extraordinary world of the most famous Toruń specialty.

Toruń Gingerbread Museum is located at ul. Strumykowa 4, a former gingerbread factory belonging to the Weese family.

On February 14, 1763, Johanna Weese and Dorothea Schreiber started the creation of one of the most famous gingerbread companies in the world, whose tradition continues today in the "Kopernik" Confectionery Factory.

The task of the Torun Gingerbread Museum is to present, in a comprehensive and detailed way, the issues related to our delicacy.

In the post-industrial interiors of the former factory an exhibition was created, thanks to which guests visiting our Museum can get to know the various thematic topics connected with the history of gingerbread.

In the interiors of the former gingerbread factory Gustav Wessego guests visit the Museum have the opportunity to discover the secrets of Torun gingerbread, from the ingredients necessary to prepare cakes (fragrant spices, sweet honey, best quality flour) through ways of his baking and distribution throughout history.

In the workshop room visitors will create their own unique gingerbread cakes and have the opportunity to try the first delicacy prepared by the Cake Factory "Kopernik" - the oldest gingerbread factory in Poland.

An unforgettable experience will be the opportunity to see a unique collection of gingerbreads with the famous Torun "catherine".

Visiting the exhibition will allow you to familiarize yourself with the types of gingerbread, their packaging and the production of gingerbread in the old and present factory.

Many attractions and surprises await visitors. a film about where the name of the most famous gingerbread was made, ie "katarzynka", an opportunity to get acquainted with an interactive book containing recipes (everyone will be able to download the gingerbread recipe) and a projection on gingerbread production in the Kopernik Confectionery Factory as well as " meeting " with former factory owner - Gustav Weese.
