The Calheta is a municipality in the island of Madeira, with headquarters in it's homonymous parish. It is the largest municipality in Madeira by extension and is located in the western side of the island, being bathed by the Atlantic Ocean to the south and west. It has a man-made sandy beach located in it's shore and many attractions like the Museum MUDAS, the mill that make sugarcane syrup, the pedagogical farm in Prazeres and many more.
