Estrela da Sé

Estrela da Sé is a restaurant founded in 1857 as a 'casa de pasto' (a kind of tavern that served meals), and the presence of the 'star' goes beyond its name. The motive is repeated throughout the walls and furniture, along with pictures, old lamps and bottles surrounding the walls, giving the restaurant a warm and intimate rustic interior. This is one of the last stores where it is possible to have lunch or dinner in a private cabinet, quilted with pine wood. It is a favourite for those who enjoy to have a meal in some privacy, but clients can choose to dine in the wider salon aswell. The restaurant offers a varied menu of portuguese gastronomy and many house specialties.
