Museu da Música

The Museu Nacional da Música holds one of Europe's richest musical instrument collections, aswell as a vast documental, phonographic and iconographic arquive. It is located in the Metro (underground) station of Alto dos Moinhos since 1994. The collection has about 1000 instruments from the XVI to XX century, mostly european, but also asian and african, from popular and art music tradition on display. The museum presents regular exhibitions, educational visits, concerts, conferences and other events.
