The Parque da Bela Vista is a park with wooded areas and huge, beautiful open lawns, which you can discover by following the many walkable and cyclable paths available. It is the biggest green space on this side of the city. The different species of trees here are reflective of the old farms that used to exist in the area. The amount of bird species is also worth of note. The natural geology of the landscape provides that, on higher ground, there are beautiful sights over Lisboa and the Tejo to behold. Because of that and with its central natural amphitheater, it is known as the regular host of the famous Rock in Rio music festival. Scattered throughout are several traces of old constructions like an aqueduct and a waterwheel. As for modern facilities there is a lunch and picnic park, a multi-sports field with balneary, fitness equipment and children park. This park is a fantastic place to spend some time enjoying!
