Praça do Povo

After the storms of 2010, Madeira dearly needed to reconstruct many infrastructures that where destroyed by the devastating floods, especially in Funchal, where the wreckage and dirt brought in by the rains accumulated in the docks. Praça do Povo was one of the solutions to the devastation, creating a park and walking area for it’s resident that has since then blossomed and grown, as well as contributing to the movement of the docks by giving them more space and better access.
