Praia da Poça sits between the Forte São Pedro do Estoril and the Forte da Cadaveira, two old forts watching over this wide beach of calm waters and submerged rocks. It is also known as the São João do Estoril beach. At its center there is a noticeable big ramp that divides it in two. Being one of the many beaches along the Cascais seaside pathway, with excellent access, it is one of the most popular spots in the summer, both for local families and tourists. Watersports fans are also regulars here. This beach is supervised, provides medical support, showers and toilets, and is close to several restaurants and bars in the area. There is also a small parking lot on top of the cliff, very close to the beach.
