Praia Grande / Praia do Ferragudo

Praia Grande is also known as Praia do Ferragudo, and it sits inside the Arade river mouth, to the east of the Portimão marina. It is a supervised beach, with a big sandstrip ornamented by pinetrees on top of the cliffs. Being inside the pontoon-protected river mouth, the waters are pool-like! To the north, you can check out the São João de Arade fort, and there are many restaurants and bars around too where you cantake a break from the sun.
