One of the top beer gardens in Prague. Meet expats and locals when you get a drink and relax in Prague's famous Riegrovy Sady Beer garden.

Riegrovy Beer Garden is one of the best outdoor places to drink and socialize in Prague for a reason. When the weather gets hot, everybody starts coming out of the beer gardens. Of course, being in the Czech Republic warm weather and beer go hand in hand. No questions asked!

If you’re looking to meet up with friends, go on a date, or just want somewhere nice to enjoy some cold beer and yummy food then the beer garden Riegrovy Sady is your place. You’re surrounded by a beautiful park and, for a moment, you won’t even realize you’re in the city. Prague is known for its stunning beer gardens and Riegrovy is one of our top picks.

Located in the Zizkov area you’ll get a mix of locals and expats so don’t be surprised if you hear a ton of people speaking English while downing your Pilsner. There are plenty of picnic tables and seating areas to enjoy a relaxing time with some friends.

If you have the time we’d recommend exploring Riegrovy Sady Park as well. It has a stunning loop trail that goes around with tons of smaller paths connecting them in between. Feel free to take a to-go drink and get comfortable on some nice grassy patch in the park.

  • The park where the beer garden is located has many entryways and you can access the park from all sides. So be a little adventurous and explore the park until you find the beer garden.
  • Movie nights: they have a larger projection screen where if you’re lucky enough they may be playing a movie one of the nights.
  • In the winter, they sometimes put up a small skating rink which makes it fun for families to visit too.
  • With 8 different beers on tap, wine, and other drinks there’s something for absolutely everyone to enjoy.
  • You pay a deposit on the glasses to limit the plastic use (yay) so you can actually take your drink outside of the beer garden and enjoy the views of Prague. You get your deposit back when you hand in the glass again.
