Lake Onega is a lake in the north-west European part of Russia, located on the territory of Republic of Karelia, Leningrad Region and Vologda Region. There are about 1,650 islands on the lake. Surface area is 9,700 sq km; max. depth is 127 m. (Photo © credits to Nat-Geo / Viktor)
