The Suzdal Kremlin is the oldest part of Suzdal town, dating from the 10th century. Like other Russian Kremlins, it was originally a fortress and the religious and administrative center of the town. Its ensemble includes the ancient ramparts, Archbishop Chambers, and the Cathedral of the Nativity with striking frescoes. The museum of Suzdal Kremlin tells the history of the region. It is UNESCO World Heritage site as a part of White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal.
