The Circum-Baikal Railway

The prominent Circum-Baikal Railway presents an outstanding touristic route and a well-preserved monument of engineering art. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it stands for a phenomenal masonry of tunnels and retaining walls merged with the massive cliffs that perilously fringed the Baikal shore.
