Theater and theater club

A group of Yugoslav theater artists - led by Ljubisa Ristic, director from Belgrade, Nada Kokotovic, choreographer and director from Zagreb, Rade Sherbedzija, actor from Zagreb, and Dusan Jovanovic, drama writer and director from Ljubljana - founded in autumn 1977, U Zagreb, KPGT- Theater, Theater, Theater, Theater-Theater Hull, which for years has evolved into a cultural and political movement with the aim of affirming and defending a unique Yugoslav, through the joint work of theater and other artists from all over Yugoslavia and the audience throughout Yugoslavia.

Over the course of 33 years, KPGT actors spoke in representations of the languages spoken by Yugoslavia - Serbo-Croatian, Croatian-Serbian, Macedonian, Slovenian, Hungarian, Albanian, Roma, Italian and others- and were well understood by all audiences in Yugoslavia, both America and most European countries. The years of the birth of KPGT were the years of birth of national narrow-mindedness and the first shy, and then increasingly aggressive nationalistic violence in the cultural, economic and political life of Yugoslavia. Theater artists, the Yugoslavs, thought they had a response to the disaster that was approaching.
