The Drava river and its nearby reservoir run through the town of Maribor in the Podravje wine region before it reaches the mouth of the Danube. The beauty of nature here is a quiet reservation - wonderful for any traveller who’s looking to unwind and unplug.

At the DravaCenter Bar, you can have a cold drink, lay on the little beach there, and join the locals for a summer swim. It makes for a wonderful way to just enjoy the Drava river and soak up the sunshine.

Or if you want more of an active adventure, at the DravaCentre Bar you can rent a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddle board and explore the Drava river. There’s also a recreation area for volleyball, badminton, and a climbing wall.
