Jose Zorrilla, the immortal author of Don Juan Tenorio, was born in this house on February 21, 1817.

She spent her childhood and she returned in 1866.

Valladolid City Council acquired the property in 1917 to turn it into House-Museum in which to receive the donated goods poet, among others, by his widow and the library of the illustrious "zorrillista" D. Narciso Alonso Cortés.

Since November 2007, the House of Zorrilla promotes programs and cultural initiatives, focusing on the book, literature, poetry and theater, with special attention to Romanticism and the figure of Jose Zorrilla. Library has access to researchers.

La Casa de Zorrilla is thus a meeting place and has become host to concerts, readings, workshops, lectures, performances, shows, theater ...
