The Collegiate Church of Santa Maria del Cluniaco, Coruniego or Cruñego, located in the village of Villafranca del Bierzo, in the region of El Bierzo (province of León, Autonomous Community of Castile and Leon, Spain) had its origins in a Benedictine monastery erected in the 12th century, with a purpose to host the French pilgrims who passed through Villafranca del Bierzo, on the way to Compostela. The remains of this ancient abbey have been lost, hidden by the modern Collegiate.
