The genius of Antoni Gaudí was reflected in the order of about Leon wealthy merchants in the late nineteenth century. Gothic reminiscences, resembling a castle, the building was designed for weaving business on the ground floor and basement, targeting the remaining four plants rental housing. Details like the iron gate, the moat lighting or sculpture of St. George on the front door deserve special attention. Currently is the head office of a financial institution and the lower floors are often used for temporary exhibitions. Gaudi's work was commissioned by the company "Fernández and Andrés" of León, successor to the company founded by Joan Homs i Botinàs: hence the name "booties".
