Until 1849, bullfights took place in the Plaza de la Constitución, the year in which a small round bullring was built, with a capacity of 2,600 spectators. A few years later it began to be small for the growing population and the rich bourgeoisie, some accidents occurring due to the placement of wooden boards to expand the capacity to 4,000 locations. It was then that he began to think about the construction of a new bullring. The building, with two floors and capacity for 9054 spectators, was designed by Trinidad Cuartara and Enrique López Rull. Today it accommodates some more spectators, up to 9800, distributed as follows: first floor (laying and stands), 7800; second floor (boxes and barricades), 2000. It has 8 tiers and stretches. On the second floor there are 60 boxes (50 of them in the shade), and the barren are all sunny. To all these locations lead 18 bodies of stairs. ©corradobarattaphotos
