The Kunstmuseum takes its self-image from its recognized, historically evolved position as the leading institution of visual art in Central Switzerland, as well as from its location in the internationally acclaimed architecture of the new Culture and Congress Center (KKL) by Jean Nouvel. From this not only his tasks, but also the quality standards required for his work are derived.
