In 1992, Mr. Xu Wenlong, founder of Chi Mei Group, gave birth to the Chi Mei Museum in order to implement the vision of art sharing and expand the public service of culture to contribute to the society. The Chi Mei Museum, originally located on the 5th to the 8th floor, Chi Mei Industrial Building, Rende District, Tainan City, Taiwan, has a space of nearly 2,000 square meters. It displays a comprehensive collection of Western painting and sculpture, furniture crafts, ancient relics, specimens of natural history and fossils, Ancient instruments and violins and many other types of collections; opened so far more than two decades, has always been to "understand the music, can understand the painting" business philosophy, open the public free admission to the museum, and the introduction of a free booking to attend the auditorium Holiday concerts for the public to enjoy, called for everyone to imagine a "museum belonging to the public." In 2012, Chi Mei Group set up a donation of a museum building to the Tainan Municipal Government in the Tainan Metropolitan Park. On June 18, 2013, the Chi Mei Museum Foundation successfully secured the rights to operate the "Tainan Metropolitan Parks and Museums Park". It is located in the main park of the museum and is named after the upcoming glory of the Tainan Museum Park Chi Mei Museum. Officially opened in early 2015, the exhibition plans to showcase the four major areas of art, history, anthropology and science in the field of museums, try our best to uphold the tradition of free of charge, concretely implement the spirit of "creating a museum for the general public" share it.
