Wat Phra Archa Tong, Mae Chan

Wat Phra Archa Tong is an unique monastery led by an even more unique person: Ajarn Phra Kru Ba. His hobby, horse riding, has become the specialty of this monastery - monks and novices here travel on horseback, learn equestrian stunts, and maintain the ever-growing stables. The place is locally famous for the holiness of Phra Kru Ba, and every morning pilgrims come here for blessing. © Mark Levitin
