Carthage Amphitheatre

The Carthage Amphitheatre is part of the archeological site of Carthage. The amphitheatre was built in the late first century. The construction of the amphitheatre fascinated visitors in the Middle Ages, however today the site is in ruins. In its prime, the amphitheatre is estimated to have held around 30,000 people.
