Birmingham

The southern areas like Dorset, Cornwall and Sussex are the best place to visit for beaches, sunshine and beautiful but rugged coastlines. The central area contains London and Birmingham, the two largest cities (10 million and 1 million people respectively) as well as slightly smaller cities like Liverpool and Manchester. These cities (the ones outside of London particularly) are becoming incredibly popular in the last few years, with amazing food, entertainment, art and culture growing year on year. The north of England holds much of the farming land, as well as stunning national parks like the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. London has several airports that are the gateway to almost anywhere you’d like to visit in the world, and there are regional airports in many of the smaller cities as well, with Birmingham Airport and Liverpool Airport being amongst the cheapest. Getting around the country is easy and hassle-free, if slightly more expensive than public transport in mainland Europe. The trains run very well, and are clean, but they are quite expensive. Perhaps the best way to get around is by bus with two main companies – Megabus and National Express. English cuisine is really a mix of everything, with more than 50,000 pubs to find traditional England food, as well as a lot of Indian, Chinese food in almost every town and city as well.

The peaceful waterways combine beautifully here, at the old Malt House pub. Balconies overlooking one of the canal hubs, once frantic with activity are perfect to soak in the historical views.

Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. It is notable for its long association with the English and later British royal family and for its architecture. The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion of England by William the Conqueror. Since the time of Henry I, it has been used by the reigning monarch and is the longest-occupied palace in Europe.

Amble Bed and Breakfast at Wellwood

We are situated right on the Blue Flag beach at Goring By Sea with wonderful far reaching sea views. There is a large free car park (limited to 2 hours stay) and plenty of parking along the sea front. We have large green areas either side of the cafe. There are toilet/disabled toilet facilities.

We have an alfresco dining area which seats 150 and inside we can seat 80. There is a takeaway shop selling tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice creams, cakes and beach goods.

We are open all year round.

In high summer our hours are 8.30am til 6.30pm; winter months 8.30am til 4.00pm.

The rest of the year 8.30am til 5.00pm (all depending on the weather - if it’s nice weather we stay open longer!).
