We intend to revolutionise the playing of, and introduction to, golf in Guernsey by building a new centrally located training and practice centre in the grounds of the St Pierre Park Hotel with facilities not seen before in the Channel Islands, stimulating golf in the community to new levels. This will be a facility for all the family and will include Adventure Golf, a bar/café area with soft play area for younger children over and above the many golf related attractions. Too many venues in Guernsey when visiting with the whole family produce winners and losers as all members are not all catered for – at ours, they will all be winners. A new entrance, built in the Rohais De Haut will greatly improve customers access to the venue. After years of neglect and underinvestment, we aim to return the golf course to and ultimately surpass its former glory. As a golf facility, the condition of the course is the marker by which we will be judged so the coming year will be extremely important in laying the foundations for the future. Marcus Hamon, the Head Green Keeper at the Royal Guernsey Golf Club has already been employed as a consultant, visiting the course three times a week guiding our staff.
