1. Middelheim Park

They say nature is good for the soul, but so is art. Get a double dose at Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum. While we can’t go into museums and galleries in lockdown, thankfully you can still learn some new things at this unique park.

Where else can you see 400 works of art for free right now? Stroll around this park for fresh air with the extra bonus of amazing sculptures. There’s art by Belgian sculptors and international artists too. Walking around Middelheim gives you some nice artsy view that even a non-art lover is sure to enjoy.

Make sure you combine this with the nearby Nachtegalenpark and Park den Brandt for a jog, stroll, ride or whatever tickles your fancy.

2. Rivierenhof Park

What’s just beyond the riverbend? Probably another river at Rivierenhof (River Garden). This park is 135 hectares of naturey goodness. Enjoy the sights of the river Schijn like the picturesque castles. Yup, castles. Plural. Kasteel Rivierenhof and Sterckshof are both super pretty and a sight to see. There’s also a small maze if you want to feel even more lost than you already are in 2020.

Seriously, though. Rivierenhof is perfect for joggers. There’s a great 10km trail that every jogger needs to check out.

If you’ve never wandered around the park, you might’ve missed their fairy tale house too. It’s tucked away and hidden behind the football fields. Don’t miss this on your run!

3. Tivoli Park

A bit further out from the city is a cosy and sweet park. Domaine Tivoli is really great for families. Their playground is super popular! If you want to get out of the city for a few hours of family fun, look no further than Domaine Tivoili.

For single pringles, there’s still plenty to do. Passionate joggers have a bunch of different options here. Even if you know Domaine Tivoli already, you might not know some of its secrets. What kind of things can you see on your walk if you keep your eyes open? Click through to read more.

4. Hobokense Polder

Immersing yourself in nature has never been easier. There’s tons of different walks, beginners or if you’re just feeling like a Sunday stroll, try and do the 2km when you’ve got the chance just to see the views.

This nature reserve has so much flower power it’s off the charts. Their wild orchids are super pretty. Don’t miss the view point only a little walk away from the car park too. Watching the sunset from there is a great experience.
